The 60-second answer: Saviynt certification is the Saviynt certification program run by Saviynt University for its identity security platform. There are two doors in. Anyone can take the free ISAA exam. Seven professional exams, including SCIP and SCAIP, are locked to Saviynt partners and customers, require a mandatory course first, and cost USD 300 per attempt.
A naming trap before you go further: inside the Saviynt product, “certification” also means an access review campaign. This guide is about the credentials.
Door 1 or Door 2: who can take which Saviynt certification exam?
Most guides list exams by name. The more useful question is which door you can open. Format details below come from each official exam guide, starting with the SCIP Saviynt certification exam page.

The free ISAA certification is aimed at graduates and entry-level IT staff. The IGA Expert (SCIE) is listed as coming soon, for architects with 9 to 12 months on Saviynt products.
Which one first?
- No Saviynt employer: take ISAA. It is the only exam you can book.
- Partner or customer staff with 1 to 3 months on IGA: take SCIP.
- 3 to 6 months on IGA and leading builds: go straight to the Advanced IGA Professional exam. SCIP is not a prerequisite.
- Privileged access work: start with SCPP. It is independent of the IGA track.
- Third-party identities: take SCEP.
- Day-to-day administration: take SCIA.
Saviynt certification requirements: 4 gates before you can book
Saviynt’s saviynt certification requirements FAQ boils down to four gates:
- Eligibility. Professional exams are only for affiliated partners and customers.
- Mandatory course. Scheduling is blocked until you finish the matching course:
- SCIP needs IGA Level 100.
- SCAIP needs IGA Level 200.
- SCPP needs PAM Level 100.
- SCEP needs EIM Level 100.
- ISAA needs its self-paced learning path.
- The catalog lists IGA Level 100 training and Level 200 at 24 hours each. Labs make up 60% of Level 100 and 50% of Level 200.
- Experience. Saviynt recommends 1 to 3 months of hands-on work for professional exams and 3 to 6 months for advanced ones.
- Setup. Exams are online proctored through ProctorU and offered in English only. Saviynt recommends a personal laptop with VPN turned off.
One warning from the same FAQ: the mandatory courses do not cover everything the exams test. Hands-on time on a real tenant fills the rest.
Locked out of Door 2? The route in is through an employer. That means a job at a Saviynt implementation partner, or on the identity team of a company that runs Saviynt. Until then, ISAA plus Saviynt University’s free video courses on YouTube are the public path.
Saviynt certification exam cost: what you actually pay
The exam pages only say “contact your sales representative.” The 2026 guides are more specific: the Saviynt certification exam cost for SCIP is USD 300 for one attempt, and the SCAIP blueprint lists the same fee.

Four real scenarios
- SCIP first try: $300.
- SCIP with one retake: $300 + $300 = $600.
- SCIP and SCAIP, both first try: $600.
- Self-funding 60 extra days of labs: 2 × $1,000 = $2,000.
The cheapest scenario of all is $0 out of pocket. Saviynt University gives exam vouchers to partner and customer users who finish the mandatory course. Its On-Demand and Premium Learning Passes include one voucher for each active exam. Ask your training coordinator before you pay anything.
Is Saviynt certification worth it? Look at the partner rules and the pay data
Saviynt ties its partner badges to headcount of certified staff:

At least 30% of the certified staff in each tier must hold an advanced (Level 200) credential. That rule is why partners sponsor exams. It also makes SCAIP holders the scarcer and more useful profile inside a partner firm.
What does the role pay? The US Bureau of Labor Statistics does not publish pay by certification. The closest official occupation for Saviynt work is information security analysts (SOC 15-1212), so treat it as a proxy:

These figures are from the information security analysts pay profile in the Occupational Outlook Handbook. They cover the whole occupation, not only Saviynt specialists. A certification shows platform knowledge. It does not by itself raise pay or guarantee a role.
How hard is each exam?
- ISAA: Saviynt itself calls it relatively easy, passable with minimal effort after the learning path.
- SCIP: manageable for someone who did the Level 100 labs and has configured a live tenant. Tough for anyone who only watched the videos, because much of the blueprint is hands-on configuration detail.
- SCAIP: the real test. Its questions are scenario based, and 40% of them (24 of 60) come from just two areas: advanced access requests and connectors.
Exam anatomy: where the questions come from
SCIP (2026 guide). The three heaviest sections carry 15 questions each:
- Building Identity Warehouse
- Intelligent Application Onboarding
- Access Request System
The rest cover Identity Cloud Building Blocks (SSO, SAV roles), HRMS integration, lifecycle policies, access certifications, Saviynt Intelligence including ISPM, and admin functions.
SCAIP. Advanced access requests and connectors (Active Directory, REST, database) carry 12 questions each. The remaining sections cover campaigns, group management, analytics, rules, REST APIs, service accounts, ServiceNow integration, administration and job management.
ISAA. Eight sections:

Saviynt certification questions: formats, scoring and the sample trap
SCIP mixes four formats: multiple choice, multiple response (two or more right answers), true/false and scenario. SCAIP drops true/false.
Three scoring rules change how you should play the exam:
- No negative marking. Blank answers count as wrong, so answer everything.
- Unscored survey questions may appear.
- Compensatory scoring. Only the overall score counts, not each section.
Each guide ends with two or three official saviynt certification questions, such as what a workflow’s XML view does. Saviynt says these show the style only, so do not treat them as a study bank.
Skip any site selling recalled exam questions. They break the trust the credential depends on, and several still describe formats Saviynt has retired.

- Self-funding: budget $600 to cover one retake.
